About Aziza Sbaity

Born in Monrovia, Liberia, and representing Lebanon, Aziza Sbaity is more than just an athlete—she is a symbol of perseverance and dedication. Her journey in athletics, particularly in the 60m, 100m, and 200m sprints, has seen her break records and inspire countless others. Currently, she holds the title of the fastest woman in Lebanese history and is the 2023 Arab Champion in the 200m. Aziza has competed at numerous world championships, continuously showcasing her exceptional talent on the global stage​.

An Advocate for Social Change and Youth Empowerment

Beyond her athletic achievements, Aziza is deeply committed to social justice and youth empowerment. She serves as a program manager for the Lebanese Young Talents (LYT) NGO, where she ensures young athletes receive the support they need to excel. Her role as an ambassador for the Sports Academy School further highlights her dedication to nurturing the next generation of athletes​.

Aziza’s influence extends into the media, where she has been featured in GQ Middle East, BBC, L’Orient Le Jour, and The National UAE. Recognized as one of BBC’s 100 most influential women in 2023, Aziza uses her platform to advocate for equality and to inspire young people across the Middle East and beyond​.
