Zagreb ready to host the FISU World Forum

From August 27th to 31st, 2024, the city of Zagreb will host the World Forum of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), an event held every two years that provides a platform for students, officials, and partners involved in university sports to connect, further their education, and exchange cultures, experiences, and ideas.

This year’s Zagreb 2024 FISU World Forum will bring together more than 250 participants from around 70 countries worldwide, making it the largest forum to date. In addition to the participants, officials from the Republic of Croatia and ambassadors from participating countries are also expected to attend.

The opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at 9:30 AM in the Forum Cinema of the “Stjepan Radić” Student Dormitory.

This year’s forum will focus on topics such as sports diplomacy and global relations, using university sports for international cooperation and cultural exchange, diversity, and inclusion, with an emphasis on promoting gender equality, inclusivity, and accessibility in university sports.

During the five-day forum, participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures and discussions in the Forum Cinema of the “Stjepan Radić” Student Dormitory and compete in sports at the facilities of the Faculty of Kinesiology and the student dormitory complex.
